John - Yes. All three of the cars my family owns as well as multiple dirt bikes use gasoline. We also gave a gas grill starter, and our friend has fifteen vehicles that we use.
Clément - Yes. We have a Honda Pilot my mother drives every day. The honda pilot is a SUV so its consumming a lot of gas.

2. What impact does oil have on our environment?
Clément - The oil is heating our planete and melting the ice at the polar ice caps, and the animals are dying of it...
Oil is polluting our planete and oil is "making" wars that makes alot of dead poeples...
John - Oil is causing the greenhouse effect and is trapping heat in our atmosphere. A result of this is the melting of the polar ice caps, the rapid changes in temperature and weather, and animals are ending up in regions that are not their sutible enviornment and dying. Take polar bears for example, they are dying off because the ice flows are becoming smaller and it takes longer for the polar bears to swim from a piece of ice to a piece of ice. After a while they get tired of swimming and eventually die of overexaustion. So overall, oil is polluting our planet with usage of gasoline and crude oil itself.
John - Yes there is a reliable energy source and that is geothermal energy. Geothermal energy is from hot springs underground and is then turned into steam, where this energy is deprived. A power plant that uses creates this energy must follow many steps carefully. The way a plant works is like this, water and some steam as well as geothermal brine is transported to a central seperation station after getting rid of the brine, the water and steam are transported through moisture seperators and is transported to steam heat exchangers where the whole supply becomes steam. After that, the steam is then pumped through turbines for the co-generation of electricity and unutilized steam is released through a steam exhaust. Not many areas use this type of electricity, but the main country that takes full advantage is Iceland. Iceland started the geothermal energy and maximized it when they saw that the country was highly polluted and has cleaned up the country since then with a clean source that comes from the Earth and gives back to the enviornment a rain.

4. Is there a connection between oil and violence in the Middle East?
Clément - It can cause some troubles in the middle east because the US ran out of gas and wants more.
So that's why every body wants to have gas in the middle east because its cheap to buy and easy yo sell it at a very high price.
John - The connection between oil and violence is that when we went into war with Iraq, we reached our goal of eliminating Suddam and Al'Queda kept bombing the troops. What most of us do not realize is that WE ARE FUNDING BOTH SIDES IN THE WAR. We are funding our troops with our tax money and then we are funding the people in the Middle East with buying crude oil so we can purchase gasoline to drive our automobiles and mow our lawns and do daily things. So we are arming both sides with weapons, and when we increase our weaponry against them, they raise oil prices and we pay to get the gas to support Americans. This is what is dragging this war on and on is that we are funding both sides to be equal to each other in artilliry and manpower. To stop their funding, we need to stop depending on foreign oil and go to our own oil, or become more fuel efficent, then this violence may actually come to a stop.
